Science Night – Saving the Planet with the Bee Man, Clancy Lester

Step into SparkLab for an adults-only night of science, hosted by environmental educator and native bee expert, Clancy Lester – also known as the Bee Man.

Buzz into the fascinating world of native bees, urban biodiversity and nature-based climate solutions with Clancy as he shares why tiny pollinators play a massive role in the health of our ecosystems and what we can do to protect them.

From city rooftops to remote bushland, Clancy’s work is all about reconnecting people with nature and empowering action for a more sustainable future.

Clancy Lester, aka The Bee Man, is a passionate environmental educator and science communicator, with a focus on bees, climate action and biodiversity. Clancy is the founder of BeesAndBlossoms, a for-purpose initiative that has reached thousands through hands-on workshops and millions more online. His work is grounded in a deep respect for Country, shaped by time spent living and working with Yolŋu communities in North-East Arnhem Land researching native bee decline.

Recognised by leading organisations including the City of Melbourne, The Wattle Fellowship, Zoos Victoria and ABC Heywire Trailblazers, Clancy is passionate about making science joyful, accessible and action-driven – one bee at a time.
