International award-winning Lyrebird Trio (Glenn Christensen, Simon Cobcroft and Angela Turner) present piano trios by Smetana, Suk and Silvestrov.
In this fiery program, Czech composer Josef Suk's Elegy draws upon the richness of Bohemian legends; compatriot Smetana's passionate Trio explores the full gamut emotions following tragedy. Exiled Ukrainian master Valentin Silvestrov explores a poignant yearning for a time and music that may never have been, in his Fugitive Visions of Mozart.
