Citizen Science Fair

Where everyday observation powers real-world discovery. 

Get ready for a science adventure like no other! On this special student-only day, school groups will take over the Citizen Science Fair for a hands-on dive into real-world research, environmental action, and the power of everyday observation. 

From coral analysis and frog listening stations to plant tracking, biodiversity counting, and more. Meet working scientists, test cutting-edge apps, and engage with real-world research in the heart of World Science Festival Brisbane 2026! 

With pop-up talks, digital tools, and interactive experiences, students will walk away inspired to keep asking questions and start their own citizen science journey – at school, at home, and in their communities. 

Where curiosity meets impact – this is science in action! 

Primary School Students (P – 6):
Discover the power of everyday action. Dive into a learning experience packed with interactive activities and STEM storytelling. Don’t forget to collect your Junior Citizen Scientist passport to track your exploration through the fair.  

Secondary Students (7 – 12):
Get face to face with scientists and experts working in a range of disciplines, including conservation and species identification. Learn more about how you can shape your future and discover careers in STEM and beyond.
