World Science Festival Brisbane – Blast Off: Exploring Other Worlds!

Could life exist on other planets or moons, even within our own solar system? And what drives humanity to explore these distant worlds?

In this fascinating conversation, Tracy Drain, Chief Flight Systems Engineer for NASA’s Europa Clipper Mission, teams up with award-winning astrobiologist David Flannery and astrophysicist Sara Webb to bring space exploration down to Earth. Together, they’ll unpack the latest missions heading back to the Moon, probing one of Jupiter’s icy moons and preparing us for humanity’s future steps on Mars.

Through captivating insights, they’ll explore the potential secrets hidden on these otherworldly landscapes and ask what inspires us to explore worlds beyond our own? And what secrets might these strange new places reveal about our origins, or about the life that could once have existed there?

Prepare for an enthralling journey through space and science, as these experts unravel the cutting–edge discoveries, the search for life and the universal curiosity that drives us to reach for the stars.

The UQ Impact Series is presented in partnership with The University of Queensland.
