Join artists from the Pormpuraaw Art and Culture Centre for a special hands-on ghost net sculpture workshop inspired by the Ghost Nets of Pormpuraaw exhibition.
Led by Syd Bruce Shortjoe, Michael Norman, Jillian Holroyd and Christine Holroyd, with Arts Centre Manager Ellen Maugeri, these workshops offer a rare opportunity to learn directly from artists whose works are featured in the exhibition. In these 3-hour workshops, participants will gain insight into the cultural and environmental stories behind ghost net art, explore the artists’ creative practice, and create their own sculpture in a guided workshop setting.
