Step into a world of whales, water rats, cassowaries and dancing stars in this playful First Nations children’s tour.
Together, little explorers will 'swim' like a Kuril — the cheeky water rat that inspires Queensland Museum Kurilpa's name — sing whale songs with Yalingbila, stomp and dance to rhythms from the Torres Strait Islands and discover how animals, skies and stories connect people to Country.
Along the way, children will meet giant ocean creatures, rainforest birds that help grow forests, and even a shark hidden among the stars! Through movement, music, imagination and hands-on storytelling, this engaging guided experience immerses young visitors in First Nations stories, knowledge and traditions in a fun, active and memorable way.
Designed for kids aged 3 to 7.
Please note that adult supervision is required at all times throughout the tour. Carers are free, however do require a ticket. Due to limited numbers, we advise a maximum of 2 carers per child.
