Come and explore these collections with skilled scientists in this behind-the-scenes tour of the remarkable Collection and Research facility at Hendra.

Queensland Museum’s Collections and Research Centre at Hendra is the heart of our state’s scientific heritage. This hub houses Queensland Museum’s vast collections spanning Biodiversity, Geosciences, Archaeology, Indigenous Cultures and Social History, all meticulously researched and preserved.

Labs Unlocked, part of the World Science Festival Brisbane, offers a rare opportunity to explore Hendra’s Wet Store Facility. Join a specially curated tour behind-the-scenes at this unique site. You’ll encounter preserved zoological specimens, gaining an exclusive insight into the rich biodiversity of Queensland that is carefully curated, managed and maintained by the Queensland Museum.
