James Cameron may be best known as an award-winning film-maker (Avatar trilogy, Titanic, Terminator, Aliens and more) but he is also a passionate explorer and innovator of technology. He has visited the deep sea on eight occasions including a solo journey to the deepest point on Earth.
The trip to Challenger Deep was in an Australian made submersible in which James Cameron had done extensive testing.
Come along to hear about his experience and love of the ocean, how it has inspired him creatively and piqued his scientific interest in the seas.
