We’re turning the sound down and creating a relaxed, fun and supportive atmosphere that welcomes people on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges to experience the museum, SparkLab and the wonder of Disney: The Magic of Animation.

Our Sensory Friendly Sessions create a supportive environment where people of all ages can spend quiet time, wander at their own pace, and engage in conversations with museum staff.

We will also have a chill out zone if some quiet space is required and earmuffs are available from the Cloakroom on Level 2, SparkLab and Disney: The Magic of Animation exhibition entries.

Important Information

  • Entry is free to the museum’s permanent galleries, although bookings are essential to ensure visitors can comfortably explore the museum.
  • Special exhibitions including SparkLab and Disney: The Magic of Animation are paid entry and numbers are strictly limited. Your paid ticket includes access to the museum’s permanent galleries.
  • Companion cards and children under 5 years old are free, however they must have a ticket.
  • Morning session entry into SparkLab commences at 8.30am.

Entry to some of our ticketed exhibitions will be strictly limited to ensure visitors can comfortably explore the museum. Bookings are essential.
