The famous song 'Vienna, City of My Dreams' by Rudolf Sieczynski sums up the beauty and charm of Vienna … ‘Laughter and music and stars that shine, I’m in the spell of your charms divine’.

In 2022, their concert will be a celebration of the music of Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, and Johann Strauss, all of whom lived in Vienna. The concert opens with Mozart’s popular Sonata K.331, known especially by its last movement “Rondo alla turca”. It is followed by Brahms’s Sonata for Violin and Piano No 1 in G major, Op 78. Clara Schumann loved the Sonata and wrote to Brahms, “I wish that the last movement could accompany me in my journey from here to the next world.” The second half of the concert begins with Beethoven’s glorious Romance No 2 in F, followed by Schubert’s popular Impromptus Nos 3 and 4.

The concert ends with the Waltz King Johann Strauss Jr’s famous waltzes Frühlingsstimmen (Voices of Spring) and Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald (Tales from the Vienna Woods). These will be arrangements for violin and piano.

Warwick Adeney is the Concertmaster of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and is one of Australia’s most revered musicians.

Stephen Emmerson is one of the most respected and sought after musicians in Australia.
