Overview
Presented as part of GOMA’s ‘Melting into Air’ cinema program, enjoy this Live Music & Film screening of the classic wartime epic Wings 1927. The first winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, Wings follows two friends who become combat pilots during the First World War. Not only battling the enemy in the sky, they scheme against each other to win the heart of their shared love interest. Throughout their adventures, they encounter danger, romance and tragedy in one of the most spectacular silent films ever made. David Bailey will provide live musical accompaniment on the Gallery’s 1929 Wurlitzer Organ.
