Artistic Tattoo Workshop

In this series of special workshops, Townsville tattooist, Ink in the Lines exhibition contributor and award-winning artist Rob Douma will tour participants through the exhibition whilst he discusses the concept of a tattoo and some of the meanings implicit in their role and design. Participants will be guided through the thought and practical processes so that they are able to design their own unique tattoo. This will be drawn onto paper and at the conclusion of the workshop, the completed design will be collected, scanned and printed onto a tattoo transparency where it can be collected at the museum reception shortly after the workshop. Temporary tattoos are then ready to be taken home and can be applied to designer's skin.
