Boomtown Battles – 7 to Smoke Edition

This November, witness some of Australia’s best Breakers and All-Style dancers in the 7 to Smoke format, which is a fast-paced, knockout-style dance battle featuring eight dancers competing in a king-of-the-hill structure. Dancers will compete in short, one-on-one rounds, with the winner staying on to face the next challenger. Featuring a DJ, MC, and a panel of renowned judges, Hip Hop culture will come to life again at QPAC in another Cremorne Theatre takeover.  Don’t miss out on an opportunity to experience this intense head-to-head competition between some of the most talented dancers in Brisbane.

This Boomtown Battles event is a part of a continued collaboration between QPAC and the renowned Elements Collective, an internationally recognised dance company that has been spearheading the Australian Hip Hop dance community since 2010. They’ve organised legendary touring productions, inspiring community workshops, and spectacular large-scale events, including national battles and workshops.

This exciting partnership promises to honour the legacy of Hip Hop culture past, by paying homage to “Boomtown” as a Hip Hop reference for Brisbane and celebrating the next generation of this vibrant community.
