Fantasies, takes the listener on a journey through intriguing and beautiful works created over a span of four centuries. The line between contemporary atonal music is blurred by the extraordinary harmonies present in the music of the 17th century, and bound together by the complex counterpoint and deeply embedded historical nod by Mozart and Bruckner to the earlier music. The conversation between the centuries is heightened by the contrast between strings and winds, amalgamated by a performance that utilises the segue concept to create a seamless, breathtaking experience. It is a program designed to create the emotional space for asking deeper questions about religion, evolution, progress, and humanity.
