Overview

Be careful what you wish for, it may come true…

Inspired by the Grimm Brother’s fairy tales, Into the Woods is about life after the ‘happily ever after’. This award winning contemporary musical is a funny yet poignant look at fairy tales and what they mean for our modern day lives.

Into the Woods sees your favourite childhood fairy tale characters – Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Jack and the Beanstalk – collide with the lives of a cursed, childless baker and his wife. The story follows this unlikely group as they all journey ‘into the woods’ on quests in the hope of making their greatest wishes come true. After their wishes are granted they then must face the consequences of getting everything they ever wanted.

Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
Book by James Lapine

This production contains adult themes, and the use of smoke/haze and strobe lighting
