Performance Cancellations - Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) update


QUEENSLAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE

Following the meeting of the National Cabinet and the Australian Prime Minister’s direction on Sunday 15 March, QPAC’s theatres (the Lyric Theatre, Playhouse, Cremorne and the Concert Hall) will be closed until Thursday, 30 April 2020. All patrons affected by these cancellations will be contacted directly by QPAC and will receive a full refund.

Other Venues and Arts Companies who use QTIX as their Ticket Agent have also closed their doors in line with health advice.

Art Gallery of NSW
In line with decisions made by the National Cabinet as communicated by the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, the Art Gallery of New South Wales has closed to the public until further notice to help protect the health of all visitors and staff and minimise the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the State.

Due to COVID-19, the Gallery intends to hold the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2020 exhibition later this year (not 9 May to 6 September as previously advertised). New exhibition opening dates will be announced soon. Information for artists is available on our prizes page

Canberra Theatre Centre
Canberra Theatre Centre will be closed to the public in response to Coronavirus/COVID-19. Ticketholders will be contacted by email regarding new performance dates or to issue a refund. We ask for your patience during this time.

Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art
For the safety of our community, both the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art will temporarily close to the public from 12 noon 23 March 2020 until further notice. If you purchased a ticket to Water Up Late (Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March) or ‘Water’, and have not yet visited the exhibition, you will receive a refund of the full purchase price.

Queensland Conservatorium
The Queensland Conservatorium will be closed to the public response to Coronavirus/COVID-19. Ticket holders of cancelled performance will be issued with a full refund of the ticket price.

For the safety of our community, all Queensland Museum Network locations are temporarily closed to the public until further notice. If you have purchased a ticket to a public program, event or exhibition, we will be providing refunds.

World Science Festival Brisbane 2020 and some of the World Science Festival Queensland events have been cancelled. Ticketholders will be issued a full refund of the ticket price.
