Following Camerata’s acclaimed debut performance at the inaugural Brisbane Baroque in early 2015, The Australian declared, Watch this space. This ensemble is going places.
In 2016, Brisbane Baroque presents Camerata in Red Priest in the Red Church on Red Hill as part of its Red Priest Series – a series that might have been called, all about Vivaldi.
This stunning concert showcases Camerata’s players as they perform selections of orchestral and solo music by Vivaldi and some of his lesser known but equally fine contemporaries, in the historic St Brigid’s Catholic Church – an outstanding, 100-year-old example of Robin Dods’s architecture that stands proud and imposing, high on Red Hill, overlooking the city of Brisbane.
Join us in celebrating the virtuosic sounds, the passion and expressiveness of the Italian Baroque style, as heard in music by its finest master.
