Overview

Sergio Tiempo makes his long awaited debut with Medici Concerts. Argentine – Venezuelan born virtuoso pianist Sergio Tiempo began playing at two and by seven was performing internationally. A protégé of the sensational pianist Martha Argerich, his playing is reminiscent of his great mentor: ‘Tiempo has vitality, passion, lyricism…he makes the piano sing with a thousand voices.’

Hailed by critics and fellow musicians as one of the most outstanding pianists of his generation, Tiempo is a brilliant presence on the concert platform appearing with eminent conductors such as Abbado, Dutoit, Eschenbach and Slatkin.  Major festival appearances include Salzburg, Verbier, Schleswig-Holstein and Toulouse where Tiempo performed the Beethoven cycle together with Alicia de Larrocha and Maria Joao Pires.
